Use your email with a different congregation

Lightpost can use an email address to sign in to only one congregation at a time. This makes sure signing in and password resets connect you to the correct congregation.

If your email is still enabled for login at a former congregation, we can help you disable it there. Enter your address below and we’ll email you a secure confirmation link. The link expires after 30 minutes.

After opening the link, you’ll see the congregation or congregations associated with the address and whether each record is currently marked as a member. You can then choose where to disable email login.

Disabling email login does not delete your directory record, change your membership status, or stop congregation messages. It only prevents this email address from being used to sign in or reset a password for the selected congregation. A separate username or phone login remains unchanged.

Afterward, contact an administrator at your new congregation and ask them to add this email address to your Lightpost user account there.
